Role Purpose:

The Taxation & Compliance Manager is responsible for end-to-end tax compliance and tax strategy across the group, covering direct and indirect taxes, and for designing, implementing, and maintaining transfer pricing and intercompany billing frameworks that support scalable cross-border operations. The role ensures compliance while enabling commercial and operational efficiency. 

Key Responsibilities:


1. Direct & Indirect Tax Management 
  • Own group-wide compliance for corporate income tax, withholding taxes, VAT/GST, and other indirect taxesacross all operating entities. 

  • Manage tax filings, payments, assessments, audits, and correspondence with tax authorities in multiple jurisdictions. 

  • Monitor changes in tax regulations and assess impact on group structure, pricing, and operations. 

  • Ensure consistent tax positions and documentation across entities. 

2.Transfer Pricing & Intercompany Framework 
  • Design and maintain transfer pricing policies aligned with OECD guidelines and local regulations.  

  • Develop and govern intercompany billing models (services, cost-sharing, mark-ups, royalties where applicable).  

  • Ensure economic substance, arm’s length pricing, and defensibility of intercompany arrangements. 

  • Coordinate preparation of TP documentation, master file / local files, and respond to TP audits or inquiries. 

  • Work closely with FP&A and Treasury to align TP outcomes with cash flow, margins, and business reality. 

3. Group Tax Governance & Risk Management  
  • Establish tax governance frameworks, controls, and SOPs across the group.   

  • Identify and manage tax risks, exposures, and contingencies, recommending mitigation strategies.  

  • Support structuring decisions for new markets, products, or entities from a tax and compliance perspective.  

  • Partner with Legal, Finance, and Operations on entity setup, restructuring, and cross-border flows. 

4. Stakeholder & Advisor Management    
  • Act as the primary point of contact for external tax advisors, auditors, and regulators.  

  • Review and challenge external advice to ensure it is commercially sound and execution-ready. 

  • Provide clear, actionable tax guidance to internal stakeholders, including leadership. 

5. Reporting & Leadership Support
  • Provide regular tax status updates, risk summaries, and forward-looking insights to finance leadership.  

  • Support budgeting and forecasting with accurate tax assumptions and scenarios. 

  • Contribute to building scalable tax capability as the group grows.

Requirements
Experience & Qualifications :
  • 4-5+ years of  relevant experience in corporate tax and indirect tax, ideally within a multi-entity or cross-border group 

  • Strong hands-on experience in transfer pricing and intercompany billing design 

  • Experience managing tax audits and regulatory interactions 

  • Background in Big 4 and/or in-house group tax role preferred  

  • Professional qualification in tax, accounting, or finance (CPA, ACCA, CTA, or equivalent preferred)
